Recently I saw a friend posted on food she catered for a family gathering and I immediately fell in love with the pastel colored roti jala. When I saw them on this Herba and Rempah restaurant menu, I was excited to try it out.

I also ordered the blue pea nasi lemak with salted fish bone vegetable curry, another 1 of their signature dishes. The rice was fragrant. The curry was nice but I think if the salted fish bones were slightly saltier/more savory, it would be nicer.

Last but not least, petai - my favorite! All my friends know I looovveee to eat petai (stinky beans) haha! I believe this is the first time I see a sambal petai like this. Instead of the usual stir fry together with sambal dried shrimps, the beans appeared to have been steamed and added onto the dried sambal. Different, but not bad at all. The dried shrimp sambal was fragrant, with a hint of lemongrass towards the end, and the level of spiciness was just nice for me. A lil pricey though, I would say, RM32 for this small portion.
