The haze is back recently, causing common problems such as nasal congestion, respiratory problem, cough and other related illnesses. To prevent such problems, it is important to nourish/strengthen the lungs and boost our immunity.


This soup has the sweetness from watercress, dried figs, honey dates and dried conch. I hope you will try to make this delicious and nutritious homemade soup :)
This soup is said to be suitable for those with chronic cough, sensitive nose, dry skin and weak lungs. It is nourishing and effective in relieving coughs or preventing influenza. 


The dried herbs used.
Conch tastes sweet, can help to brighten eyesight, improve appetite, relieve dyspepsia, enhance beauty and protect the kidneys. The other ingredients like honey date, lily bulb, sweet and bitter almonds all help to moisten lungs, dissolve phlegm and relieve coughs. 

Ingredients: 


  • Approx 300g watercress 
  • 5 maces (Approx 18.9g) dried conch
  • 5 maces (Approx 18.9g) lily bulb
  • 5 dried figs
  • 2 honey dates
  • 3 maces (Approx 11.3g) sweet almond
  • 1 maces (Approx 3.8g) bitter almond
  • Approx 150-200g lean meat
  • 1500ml water


  1. Soak and rinse watercress for a few times. Drain and set aside. 
  2. Scald lean meat and dried conch separately in boiling water. Rinse and set aside. Rinse and drain remaining herbs. 
  3. Put all ingredients in a pot with water. Bring to boil over high heat. Turn to low heat and simmer for 3 hours. Serve.
