This is something I read online recently and would very much like to share it here:
#When your baby is born into this world, you thought you have your whole life to play with him. But no, you think he is too small and is not able to play with you. You ignored him. You are stuck to your mobile phone.
When he is one, you said that he is too small to play with you, his walking is wobbly/unstable and he may fall. You ignored him. You are stuck to your mobile phone.
When he is two, you think that giving him too many toys is a waste of money. You ignored him. You are stuck to your mobile phone.
When he is three, and his sister came, you didn't even spend time with him. You ignored him. You are stuck to your mobile phone.
Now he is 4 1/2, you said that he can't listen to instructions. You need to wait for him to be bigger then only you will play with him. You ignored him. You are stuck to your mobile phone.
Let me tell you that when he is 12, he won't want to play with you anymore, but with his peers. Take an extended 15, and minus off 5 years (coz he always says he is 5 years old now), you are at most left with 10 years of playing with him.
A child grows up with play. A child learns through play. Let's just say 10 years, and if you only play with him once or twice every week: Twice a week, you get 8 times a month. Round it up to 10. 10 times a month, 120 times a year. 120 times a year, 1200 in his lifetime, being the maximum number of times you will play with him.
Now that your child had grown up, gotten married, and have his own life, how many times would you like him to visit you when you are in your golden age?
Once a month? That makes 12 times a year. Let's say your retirement starts at the age of 60, living to a life of 75. 15 years, 12 visits a year, you get to meet him only 180 times.
So, if not now, when do you want to spend time with your child? Time waits for nobody.
Please don't stick to your mobile phone. Please don't get stuck in your mobile phone. I will god-damn-it throw it away!#
Are you ready to hear how your kids feel when you're using your phone? The next time before you pick up the phone and stick to it, read and watch this:
