From the name, you should be able to guess what kind of food do they serve. Yes, it's OINK OINK! Located in the jam-packed area of Bandar Puchong Jaya, Cerdito specializes in Iberico pork, using it in both Asian and Western recipes. Once you enter, you are greeted by a comfortable yet elegant setting. With its contemporary interior, Cerdito is perfect for casual dining and also to impress your loved ones. It may look kinda posh, but rest assured that the prices here are pretty affordable.
Nevertheless, we had quite a pleasant evening. Good and polite service, and we could see the young fresh team is enthusiastic and passionate about what they do. So if you’re looking for some porky dishes and a lovely ambience, head over to Cerdito Restaurant.
Iberico Pork Sticks (RM30). |
Hmm? Why aren't they skewers, like the name? It was written as "Iberico Sticks/Golden Crisp" in the menu, so... no sticks?? Apparently we mentioned the word 'golden', so they came in bite-sized portions - small chunks of Iberico pork, placed in the mini cup made of dumpling skin, topped with sweet and zesty salsa dressing. Well, the waiter did not explain that to us. I was looking forward to the skewers >.<
Here comes the main star:
Iberico Loin Ribs, served with Asian slaw and patatas bravas (RM45 for this single portion). |
The loin ribs looked beautifully glazed and glossy. Well cooked, no doubt, as the meat came off the bone easily, but the flavor wasn't as good as it looked like - not as lip-smacking as I expected it to be.
Besides pork dishes, they also have chicken, lamb and seafood dishes to round out Cerdito's menu.
Rosemary Garlic Lamb Chop (RM40). |
Seafood Marinara (RM25). |
Both were decent, but dried herbs were used to cook the lamb (I expected them to use fresh ones -_-) and it was slightly overcooked even though hubby asked for medium. Besides these, we also ordered a creamy mushroom spaghetti for our LO from their kids' menu (RM10, including a drink). Mind you, that was one peppery pasta, and it's supposed to be for kids?? Obviously, our LO couldn't eat it since she can't take spicy at all. We did complain to one of the waiters when he came to ask us how was the food and he told us that he would tell the chef to take note of this in future.
