A very easy dish. No stir-frying, no oil splattering, doesn't require much cooking or cutting skills... Just plain boiling :D
Ingredients:
- 8 large prawns
- 1 liter water
- 20ml Chinese cooking wine
Herbs:
- 20g dang shen (Codonopsis)
- 10g huai shan (Chinese yam)
- 15g dang gui (Angelica root)
- 10g bei qi (Astragalus root)
- 10g yu zhu (Solomon's Seal Rhizome)
- 5g dried longan
- 15g red dates, seeds removed
- 4g wolfberries
- Boil water in a pot.
- Add all the herbs and simmer for 1 hour on low heat.
- Add prawns and continue simmering til the prawns are cooked.
- Add Chinese cooking wine and salt to taste. Serve.
